In this letter Joseph McGarrity states in relation to the unidentified individual "he never mentioned to me that he knew that party. I wonder if he took cold feet. I know nothing of his having to be identified nor do I think he did until too late. I told him to attend to all that businedd in Phila and not leave it to the last minute".
