Dempsey writes "I have made very serious charges about a number of funds amounting to large sums of money, all subscribed on Mr Larkin's appeals. I am ready to go before a committee set up on the lines mentioned and prove every thing I have stated. Why does not the Union reply to my letter? Why is Mr Larkin silent? Is he afraid to face the music?".
