Copy-letter from Thomas Foran to James Larkin offering his viewpoint on a dispute within the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union,

1919 September 16.

Foran writes that the dispute with Daly is considered "finished" by the Union and informs Larkin that Daly has acted against the Union's interests, claiming "He has won the applause of all your bitterest opponents both inside and outside the Labour Movement". He notes that the Union remains intact, writing "Have no fear for the Union, Jim. It has weathered every storm since you left us nearly five years ago, and it is too big and strong now for traitors inside or foes outside to injure and destroy".
