Copy of extracts from the diary of Daniel O'Brien concerning the death of both John F. Meagher and John Fleming and also regarding attending meetings of the Gaelic League,

Remarking on his last visit to John Fleming, O'Brien wrote "I promised to call again in a few days- to which he remarked "if I am alive."". John Fleming died three days later. Speaking of John F. Meagher's funeral, O'Brien states "Not less than 7,000 persons walked after the hearse.". Also includes annotated summations on verso. O'Brien also mentions of the Irish language and poem read at a Gaelic League meeting "I never heard such beautiful language, and I may say I understood every word of it.".
