The case in question refers to appellants Michael Toole, William Stringer and Thomas Moran in the matter of unemployment benefit refusal. Bourke expresses his anger that O'Brien focused so much attention on a letter's typsecript format, writing "Your letter gives one the impression that I have been impertinent or audacious in being so business-like and up to date as to have the temerity to avail myself of a Typewriter in my correspondence with the unapproachable "Brass-hats" at Headquarters".
