1937 April 9.
In this letter Patrick McCartan states that "a few days ago Billy [William J. Maloney] had a letter from Francis Hackett in which Hackett states that he and [Shane] Leslie had a statement from Dr. Joseph Bigger of Trinity "for private consumption" that Roger was a homosexual".
