Mentions the possibility to start a practice around Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone, several nationalist books and that "John [Devoy] should give us a history or recollections before he goes". Explains that "everybody is cock sure Home Rule is a dead certainty" and that there are "rumours of a cabinet crisis over the negotiation with [John] Redmond". Mentions Joe Devlin and "Dillon", the Irish Party, Wolfe Tone Clubs and a "political scoundrel called Fred Allan" who was exposed in the 'Irish Worker'. States that Bulmer Hobson will take his place in the paper.
