Transcriptions of three letters from "JC" [James Connolly] to "DB" ['Dear Bill', William O'Brien] concerning P.T. Daly and the Irish Transport and General Workers Union, in the hand of William O'Brien,

1914 September 5 - October 9.

In the letter dated 7th October, Connolly writes of his displeasure at the prospect of working under P.T. Daly, saying "As you know D[aly] is as little trusted by the Lab[our] men as he is by the Nat[ionalists]." In the letter dated 9th October, he writes "His [Daly's] leadership means the loss of all power and prestige".
