Letter from John O'Donovan to Dr. James Henthorn Todd regarding the stories by Cambrensis and Keating about the stones in Naas, Co. Kildare's relationship with Stonehenge,
1848 Dec. 27.
O'Donovan confirms that there are "great standing stones near Naas" in Co. Kildare. He also assesses the claims of Cambrensis and Keating which he finds fault with but thinks that the legend is worthy of further investigation if "an ancient Irish version of the story could be found".
