Letter from the Irish Co-operative Clothing Manufacturing Society to William O'Brien announcing a special meeting of the Society on 22nd October, in order to review the Society's position after recent financial troubles,

1923 October 18.

The letter describes how a compulsory winding-up notice was issued by a creditor three months previously and that the Society is now under court control; however, the new Committee of Management have reviewed the situation and concluded that sufficient capital, and conversion into a Limited Co-operative Company, can salvage the Society. The letter is signed by P.T. Kelly (president), T. McAlinden, D.M. O'Kelly, P. Donnelly, T. Victory and E. Carey.
