William Loughran describes his training within the Irish Volunteers and the IRB. He recounts the fighting and events that took place around Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone, during the 1916 Easter Rising and the subsequent arrest of members of the IRA. The weapons and ammunition were supplied by Dr. Patrick McCartan.
