The Irish National Aid Assocation and the Irish Volunteer Dependents' Fund were both active providing financial relief following the Easter Rising 1916 until their amalgamation into the Irish National Aid and Volunteer Dependants' Fund in August 1916. The Irish National Aid and Volunteer Dependants' Fund was active untill late 1917 whent he fund was closed. The Irish Republican Prisoners' Dependents' Fund was then established in 1917 and was active throughout the War of Independence and the Civil War. During this time the Irish White Cross was also active but remained an apolitical organisation.
