The author writes "We keenly feel our loss for she was a very lovable, interesting and sunny-tempered child, but we are perfectly resigned when we know that she is safe for ever with God and safe from the troubles, and dangers of this cold cruel world". He and "Mrs O'H" extend their thanks "for your kind and thoughtful sympathy with us in our sorrow".
