In this letter William Fitzsimmons asks "whether it would be prudent to reporoduce and publish these letters at the present time, in view of the fact that Pearse's relations are still alive, that Mr. [Eoin] MacNeill is still very active, and that the O'Rahilly family might possibly not be complimented by their publication".
