Bairéad remarks "while the work shows industry and enthusiasm on the the part of the compiler it does not seem to supply any particular want and I do not think it would be a useful addition to Irish literature" and "mentions the place names are of very local interest being merely those found around the coast of Inisiar" (Inis Oírr, Co. Galway).
