See also MS 17,438/29. The author makes reference to "Martin Moroney" and to the election of the State Secretary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Joseph McGarrity mentions "O'Neill" and states that the letter is "likely the production of a British agent" and that Crossin was "a member of the Clan Executive ... a man of ability, well read, honest, kindly patriotic, quick temper, helped to supply explosives for special work, died 1912 or 1913 in Philadelphia".
