De Valera thanks O'Brennan for a letter and memoriam card, and asks her to write up her "dreams and thoughts for EIRE. We badly need inspiration of the kind" [sic]. In a manuscript postscript, he writes "Can you help Mrs [Áine] Ceannt with her work?"
