Childers writes that she is having a "Republican Hen Party" and wishes O'Brennan could be there to join the group. She is sending Erskine Childers two suits and asks O'Brennan to wash them, if he likes them; "Lily, I am ashamed to ask so much of you - but I know you will love my asking you to help me about this.
