Mac Aodha writes that the Irish Ireland movement in Newry has decided to form a pipers band but are unable to raise funds owing to "the apathy of the people, and the large number of demands that have been made of late". He encloses a book of tickets for a fundraising raffle and asks Ceannt to distribute them; he also asks for any information on pipes, music and equipment.
