Description:Legible text: "Dear Sir, I send you back collected papers today. The marks [speak for] themselves [part of page missing] are excellent. I can hardly imagine how any candidate in Classics in the Senior grade can be much better. The history is slightly weak, but I admit the papers were rather long. The Demosthenes passage in the special Greek paper was [part of page missing] unseen pass[age] [part of page missing] the candida[tes] [part of page missing] see this [part of page missing]. I therefore wrote in a translation of it for him. It was quite a pleasure to read them [illegible text] papers - it does you great credit. Yours very truly, Robt. F. Crook."
