Letter from Robert Cranston to the public states that Devoy paid all the prisoners' expenses from the Fund for Irish Political Prisoners, excluding hospitality offered by friends, expresses satisfaction with the administration of the Fund, confirms that the date of its distribution was postponed, and attests to the honesty of Devoy and Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa.
