Lettercard from André Chevrillon to Marguerite Lemercier, informing her that he has sent the manuscript of the book to Chapelot,

[1916] March 17.

The part of the sentence about the Germans has disappeared although he and [French historian Ernest] Lavisse wanted to keep it. Gives many details about the editing process, partly to reassure the recipient that her son, if he were a prisoner, will not be recognised. Also advises against publishing the verse as it would go against the spontaneity of the letters.
