Second letter. Comments about the beauty of the woods and how soldiers play Robinson. Exhorts her to be united with him in courageous hope and mentions that everything that will happen will be good; it will not be wasted time as he will learn much. Mentions Mme C[apamagian] and Corilla, Marthe Rapp [wife of the painter], Nonou and Pierre [probably Ausende], who is in Marseilles; asks about Pougheon [painter Eugène Robert Pougheon (1886-1955)]. Words added on 9 October : "tout va bien".
