It is the regiment of Pierre [Ausende] which has departed for Troyes instead of his to replenish a decimated regiment. Mentions the losses sustained by the regiment of Robert Lemercier and other units, some of which have no officers left. Expresses anger at the "Matin" newspaper which attenuated the facts of war. Mentions André [sous-lieutenant Cadoux]. Expresses his sense of duty.
