Contains the correspondence between Prof. Adolphe Haberer, academic and literary critic, and Seamus Heaney, covering the period 1992 to 2013. Their correspondence relates to their attendance at conferences, social engagements and meetings with friends and scholars, Haberer's reading of Heaney's poetry and his preparing a study on the work of Heaney, Philip Larkin and Tom Paulin. Also included are Christmas cards from Heaney to Haberer, and their mutual birthday greetings (the latter frequently take the form of humorous verses addressed to the other) and commuications to Haberer from Tom Paulin, Bernard O'Donoghue and Seamus Heaney's personal assistant Susan Tyrrell.
