Notes: | Part of Eugène Lemercier's letters and diaries were later published as "Lettres d'un soldat" in 1916, the year following his disappearance in battle. The most recent publication are 2005 and 2013, edited by Bernard Giovanangeli Editeur, Paris. It comprises of the letters published in 1916 with the Notes and Unpublished Correspondence (1905-1914)published in 1924 by Berger-Levrault. Note that letters are most of the time only partially published, have been edited, and in some cases several paragraphs from different letters have been published together under the one date. Also the books do not always mention when excerpts have been taken from the diaries. Physical description: 380 items. more |
