Notes:Charles Robert Hamilton was the eldest son of Charles William Hamilton of Hamwood, Co. Meath and Letitia Hamilton (née Armstrong). He was married to Louisa Brooke of Dublin, with whom he had ten children, among them the artist Eva Hamilton. He succeeded to the family estate in 1880 and followed his grand-father and father as agent to the dukes of Leinster.
