Clarke outlines his plans that she should travel to New York in the company of Maud Gonne. Reference is also made to her having witnessed an accident in Dublin and the possibility of her testifying in court if the case results in a trial. He also refers to passing to Gonne's recent lecture in Dublin and her schedule of public appearances in New York, Boston and Chicago.
