Brian Farrell Papers,
1959-1995.
This collection relates primarily to the visit of President John F. Kennedy to Ireland in June 1963 and consists of original documentation relating to the visit, notably event schedules, press releases and information bulletins issued to staff at RTÉ and others, and some commemorative printings published in the period immediately after the visit. In addition, there is published material relating to US Presidential campaign of 1960 and the death of President Kennedy in November 1963, alongside some typescript drafts of articles and radio scripts written by Farrell on American politics in the 1960s and Irish politics in the 1970s.

Having worked for Radio Éireann in the 1950's, Farrell went onto join the staff of Raidió Teilifís Éireann in the early 1960s and was among the RTÉ personnel that covered President Kennedy's visit to Ireland.
