Notes: | A collection of diaries and correspondence relating to members of the Cant family. Robert, the eldest of the Cant family, addresses or mentions his five siblings in the course of his letters. They are Olive, Reginald, William, Stanley and George, who was just seven when Robert went to Rangoon. Robert's father, William, wrote his personal account of the 1916 Rising in Dublin. He walked into town on several days to see what was going on. Reginald Cant, Robert's younger brother, worked for C.I.E. during the period covered in his diaries.
