Contains the literary papers of members of the Tighe and Hamilton families. Included are manuscript poem books of poet Mary Tighe, which contain both her own poems and transcriptions of the work of other poets (among them her brother-in-law William Tighe), autograph poems by the artist Caroline Hamilton (1777-1861), née Tighe, of Hamwood House, Co. Meath, poetry notebooks of Caroline's eldest son Charles William Hamilton (1802-1880), her daughter-in-law Anne Louisa Ponsonby, the commonplace books of her grandson Charles Robert Hamilton (1846-1913), a fair copy autograph poem by Lieut. William Tighe (1860-1887) written while at Hamwood, and press reviews of a novel written by Eva Mary Bell (née Hamilton).
