Includes correspondence between Thomas MacDonagh and his fiancée, later wife, Muriel MacDonagh (née Gifford), written during their engagement and periods of separation in their married life, their letters and cards to their children Donagh and Barbara, and the correspondence of MacDonagh's eldest sister Mary MacDonagh (Sr. Francesca). Also included are letters from the Gifford family to the MacDonaghs and from John MacDonagh writing to his brother Thomas, sister-in-law and nephew.
