Proof copy 'The Herne's Egg' bearing autograph revisions and passed for the press, of Yeats's verse drama, comprising approximately 75 words in Yeats's hand, with additional deletions and corrections, unbound in five gatherings and date stamped R and R Clark Ltd of Edinburgh, stamped "second proof", the first and last inscribed "Marked Proof" and "Turned Proof", the top also initialled by other readers, including Harold Macmillan. Yeats's revisions and corrections written in blue-black or black ink, compositor's inky fingerprints on some leaves,
